Featured on the Banknote is Horsemen dragging a Goat.

The picture illustrates Afghanistan's National Sport.  This sport is called Buzkashi.

The game dates back to Ghengis Khan, the Mongel Warrior whose army swept across Asia in the 13th Century.

Afghani men carry the carcass of a headless goat (sometimes calf) during a traditional game of Buzkashi on horseback driving the carcass toward a goal.

A popular example of this game played is in Rambo III when John Rambo (Sylvester Stallone) defeated a Communist Russian to prove he was the ultimate lone soldier, a force to be reckoned with.

A carcass is soaked in cold water for 24 hours before the game to keep it intact.  So the pieces are not torn apart during the game.  Sometimes many goats are used in a game.

This game is no longer played in Afghanistan with the recent Taliban and International forces at war with one another.  It is presumed that once stability is restored in Afghanistan than this game will be played once again.
