Most of you will go crazy for your forever wanted instrument you see on Ebay. Well, here are a couple of tips before you place your bid.
- First think again!
- Take a couple of minutes to search the instrument info on the Web. This might lead you threw some good info about the article such as price range, durability, sound demos so you can hear the instrument before buying it.
- If this instrument is what you want, I guess the next step is to check what it sold for in the past on Ebay (advanced search with completed items only checked).
- OK you know you want it and you know what price range it usually goes for. The next step is searching for it on Ebay so you see all of the auctions offering it.
- Read ALL the auction before bidding! Check for shipping prices (some parts of the world might cost you too much to ship your article). Check the sellers reputation (feedback score) this can give you a good idea of the person you'll be giving your money to. Check the payment methode, if you send money threw mail, you might not be covered if the seller never sends the article or some other problem occures...
- Ask seller questions BEFOR you bid. Think of all the things you need to know. Things that are not mentionned in the auction.
- You can track the auctions you like in MY Ebay to see their evolution while waiting for your seller's reply.
- You got your answers from the seller and all is to your needs. Then bid the highest price you would be ready to pay for the article. The limit where the price still would suit you. Even if the article is still very low priced, be aware there are lots of people bidding in the last minuts of an auction sometimes. You might loose it for a few bucks under the winning price.
- You might want to learn about snipping... (programmed bidding)
- Bid and then listen to your heartbeat in the last seconds of the auction! If you start bidding on anything just to get that feeling again, then your sick! Stop all : unplug your computer and go play outside for a month or two!
