Here are a few tips for successful bidding.

  • 1. Add item to your 'Watch list' so you can keep track of the items you like.

  • 2. Don't bid on any items until the last minute. By bidding early, you not only increase the item cost, but also alert other bidders that there is interest in the item. It's very handy to use a web browser like Firefox or Opera that uses tabs, this way, you can open the item in two tabs, one with the current time left, and the other with the bid entry confirmation. Simply refresh the time tab to track the time left, and when the time gets down to around 10 seconds, switch to the bid confirmation tab and submit the bid. This leaves only about 2 seconds for someone to try and outbid you.

    • KEY POINT: Do Not Bid until the last few minutes. By bidding early, you INCREASE the item cost and alert other bidders of interest in the item.
