There is absolutely NO functionality Difference between Microsoft Commercial and Academic Software !!! Contrary to what anyone might tell you, there are no limitations whatsoever. If you would like any evidence of this, Look at the EULA (End User License Agreement) from any 2007 Academic product and 2007 Commercial product. The License wording is identical, they are ALL generic. When you agree to the license when installing, you are agreeing to a generic license. I always tell people, if you can buy Academic, buy it. You will save money and get the same functionality. Large Corporations and the like deal with open licensing so retail product does not even come into a conversation with them.
If you would like to feel better about buying Academic product. Is there ANYONE in your household attending or working for any type of school.. and i mean any type of school? Grandkid in Kindergarten, brother teaching at a church or local charity..etc..
JUST DO NOT EVER THINK THAT MICROSOFT ACADEMIC IS LIMITED IN FUNCTIONALITY FROM COMMERCIAL PRODUCT BECAUSE IT IS NOT
