There are many advantages to custom breyers over non-customs; for one thing, you KNOW every one is original and for another, you can get a horse that looks like any animal you want, in any colour. These horses tend to cost a lot more than your usual run-of-the-mill breyer, but it's worth it. You can show customs in model shows and the quality of the paint job is usually better by tenfold. I'm the owner of one custom, a dapple grey stallion by Meredith McFadden and he's one of the best chunks of cash I've ever spent. There's nothing quite like having a model of a horse that you love, or a character you created. Higher quality comes with high cost, but in the end I'm for customs all the way.
