A Quick Guide to the Acoustic Research AW 877 Wireless Speakers

We all want to abandon those ugly cables and set our personal environment free.  However, its always best to know the pros and cons of any product.  This way, every customer can know what to expect from this wireless speaker set.

Pro's

• 250' Maximum Range
• Easy to add more speakers to the set by tuning in other speakers in range
• Easy to add to any sound system with both standard and RCA audio jacks
• Transmits through walls, no need for line of sight to operate
• Longer range than bluetooth systems
• Cheaper than bluetooth options

Con's

• Like all FM items, the closer the transmitter is in relation to the speakers, the better
• Gets 50" less than its predecessor the AW871
• Potential interference and ghost signals if similar devices are in range
• Static grows as the speakers reach the end of the range

Overall, the newer version of Acoustic Research wireless speakers is sexier than it's predecessors, but without the range.  Having put them into use around the office, they are still offer excellent quality sound at 150' without interference.
