There are people on eBay selling instructions on how to make a diaper cake.  I think that is wrong when the information can be found for free on the internet.  If this guide doesn't help then please use a serch engine like yahoo or google and tyoe in the title of this guide before you buy instructions.  Try babee.com

INGREDIENTS

  • cellophane bag
  • ribbon to make a bow
  • cake plate or cardboard disc covered in foil or wrapping paper
  • diapers (little one's brand is excellent)
  • small rubber bands
  • scotch tape or yarn/string
  • 2 receiving blankets or large ribbon
  • 1 baby towel or large ribbon
  • 1 topper  like a stuffed animal or bow
  • safety pins

BAKING THE CAKE

There are manhy ways to do this but I find this to be the easiest if you're doing it alone.

Start by rolling 16 diapers and secure them with rubberbands.  The tighter you roll them the more diapers you will need.

Tear off a section of tape (or yarn) the length of the sixteen diapers and lay it on your work surface sticky side up.

Place 12 diapers on the tape close together. (if you opt to use yarn skip this step)

Stand the diapers uprigt and connect the gap.  If you use yarn secure the diaper with yarn instead of tape.  This will be your test tier.  With this tier you can decided how big you want to make your cake.  You can use this as the topper section and insert a stuffed animal...  Or you can fill the middle with the other four diapers and use it as a base for another tier..  If you use this size as a topper then you will need to make another tier with more diapers.  This time you will need to make another model like picture number four but it will have to be large enough to fit at least s16 diapers.

To cover the diapers you can use the receiving blanket or use a large ribbon to cover the tape/yarn and rubberbands.  Secure with a safety pin.  The towel can be used to cover a really small tier.  Use the cake plate the same way you would with a regular cake and place your finished cake on top.

Wrap the finished product in a cellophane bag and tie a bow around the top to secure the bag.

I hope this was at least a little helpful.

Have a blessed day!
