This is a quick guide to answer another question we get quite often. There are MANY card sellers on eBay but unfortunately quite a few really don't know they best way to ship a card. There's nothing worse than purchasing that card that you have been looking all over for and having arrive all banged up because the card seller didn't take the time to properly ship the card to you.
First and foremost, use a RIGID holder like a top loader unless you are planning on stiffening your shipping envelope with cardboard or something. The following is how we ship all of our cards that we sell on eBay or our website:
1 - Use a soft sleeve around the card. No card should ever be placed in a top loader without going into a sleeve first. The top loader by itself can damage the surface of the card due to the way it's designed.
2 - Place the sleeved card in a top loader. The top loader is the best choice over a Card Saver for the simple fact that the top loader is rigid (not flexible) as opposed to the Card Saver which is semi-rigid. Also make sure that you use the correct size of top loaders. Our store sells top loaders for 4 different thickness of cards (sizes are explained in another guide we have written).
3. Use a Team Bag. This is somewhat a personal preference as you could also use a piece of tape to keep the card from coming out of the top loader as well. The advantage of using the Team Bag instead of the tape is that it looks much cleaner. As a seller, you want to give the best impression that you can. The Team Bag keeps the card from moving, keeps the top loader scratch free and it's inexpensive (they cost less than a 1 cent each).
4. Use a bubble envelope (size #000) - You really don't want to send that card in a plain envelope. This will ensure that the card arrives safely to it's destination. There are many sellers on eBay that you can pick these envelopes up from for a great price. We've actually got them cheaper off eBay (including shipping) then we could get them from our 3 wholesale sources that carry them. It pays to shop around.
