I've a lot of experience in how to lose an item in last 10 secondes, and how to pay to much for an item! I think, when you could do it, is to bid in the last 30 secondes. When you see an item you want to buy, put it in your ebay favourite and wait until the last 30 seconde, I know it could be hard, enter the higher price you are willing to pay... It doesn't work everytime... but 98% of time it works... and you have the item...
