Your on your rebound from your financial hit.  Your budget has caught up to your previous blunder.  Your husband/ wife has forgiven you, and about 20 years have elapsed.  You have officially regained the confidence to attempt more purchases!  You tune down your enthusiasm, remember what your gloating did last time?  You log on with shaky fingers and type those first keywords in the search box.

Bound and determined to make this an experience you decide this time you will be careful, ask questions, and read into what is missing.  You have certainly learned your lesson.  You are not one to make  mistakes more than once.

You immediately hit pay dirt.  A .99 auction for a DVD you have been trying to get a hold of for a while!  Wow!  And it closes in about 3 minutes.  Oh no.  I don't have much time I better mull this one over after bidding, I mean it says it comes with original case, original disk, original artwork, and no defects guaranteed.  There is a picture that states clearly it is the actual product for sale.  You can't believe your luck.  Not only will your spouse be forgiving you, but you can now start your eBay business.  They are going to think you are the best!

Confirm bid??  Sure!  Woohoo!  Time ticks by.  You keep clicking refresh, quite sure someone is going to snipe this bid away from you in the waning seconds.  No takers.  29 seconds....
Waiting feverishly by the refresh button...waiting to click a couple extra seconds because you want the pain to be over, you finally push your hammer thumb down with power!  You Won!!!  You see declared in bold print at the top of the screen.  You are BACK on top of your game.

You eagerly await your email confirmation.  Your invoice arrives.  $11.98????    Oh no!  What happened this time you wonder.  It clearly stated $.99 and there is no way in this good country or in the good business practices of eBay that shipping could possibly cost $10.

You've been shucked like an ear of corn ripe for the picking again.  In your rush to get your bid in time you are now a victim of shipping padding.  You think to yourself, oh brother.  I'll tell my spouse I bought it at Wal-Mart brand new for that price.  That'll impress them.  You flip open your little notebook and note two important facts.   CHECK: Think of what your buying and avoid auctions with omissions unless I ask questions ahead of time.  CHECK:  Avoid bidding with short time limit left.  Keep an eye out for padding shipping or insurance costs that are mandatory.  Make sure you know the bottom line price!  I'll be back in another 10 years or so...
