First of all you should hire a plumber and electrician to install plumbing and electrical to code for your area. 1. Unpack and check contents, check all glass and mirrored panels for damage. If rubberized coating is scratched on back of mirrored panel, you can use a dark colored nail polish to fix it. 2. Check all self-tapping screws to make sure you have a screwdriver that fits and won't slip in the philips screw head. I found the screws included to be very poor and recommend taking samples to a hardware store and replacing them with a good stainless steel screw. Once your screwdriver slips on those Chinese made screws, they are ruined. 3. Check and tighten all connections on tub, there will be loose ones! 4. Move tub into installation site and level it. Make sure it is level! 5. Next, move tub out far enough to get in behind it. 6. By now you should have an electrician run a 110 volt, 10 gauge wire from a dedicated 30 amp breaker to a junction box for the steamer. You should also have a whirlpool timer installed and connected to a GFI receptacle. 7. Have your plumber run the hot and cold supply lines, pex works great for this. Your drain should be 1 1/2" to couple up to the tub. The flexible hose on the tub works very well, so I didn't replace it. Don't hook up water and power yet, but have everything ready. 8. You will need at least 2 people to assemble shower enclosure. 1. First assemble the aluminum frame, but don't screw it to tub yet. 2. Stand up control panel on back corner of tub and have a helper hold it. 3. Next identify the right and left mirrored back panels and attach each to the control panel and tub. Just drive in a couple of screws in each to hold for now. Do not tighten completely ( you may need to wiggle pieces into position ). 4. Install aluminum frame on tub and install and tighten all screws. 5. Install fixed glass doors into aluminum frame. You will have to remove 2 top corner screws on frame and spread frame a little to pop in glass door. Do one side at a time and re-install screws in one side before removing screws on other side. 6. Install sliding doors and handles. Make sure correct sealing strips are on all doors before installing. 9. Install top cover or roof. I drove in a couple of extra screws on the top exterior lip to firm it up. Screws should not penetrate inside of shower! 10. Install hand shower unit, foot massage, shelf, seat and dispensers. 11. Have your electrician and plumber hook up the unit and plug everything in. 12. Test the unit before you move it back into position. Look for leaks and make sure everything works. 13. Move unit back into position and check for level again. TUB MUST BE LEVEL!!! 14. Screw support legs to floor so unit is fixed and solid and install outer skirt. 15. You may need to silicone seams on roof from inside, as there is no sealing strip on it. If you see daylight between seams, silicone them. 16. Check for any visible leaks again and enjoy your spa!
