Japanese knives : eBay Guides

When you are looking to buy a japanese knife (especially on ebay) please be aware of a couple of things:

First: Do your homework... Know exactly what kind of knife you want to buy, and what brand it is. there are tons of look alikes and knock offs for sale.

Second: If the price is way too low it a sign....  Five high quality Japanese knives for 19.99$??? For a master swordsman to make one of these knives it takes them approx. 2-3 weeks... You do the math...  you get what you pay for, you pay 19.99 for five knives don't expect them to last more than a month.

Lastly: Read the description CAREFULLY!... I've been fooled by this before, I once bought a Japanese knife that was 'Damascus style' instead of just 'Damascus' Beware of stickers that say 'Made in Japan' These are a sure sign of a fake.
