To help buyers and sellers out so people get the right size saddle, as Bob Marshall saddles are measured
quite differently from both english or western treed saddles...
The proper way to measure the seat size of a Sports Saddle is to measure between the cantle and the pommel at the nearest points and add 6 inches. Don't include the trim rolls in your measurement. So, if you measure 9½” between the two nearest points, not including the pommel and cantle trim rolls, add 6 inches, resulting in a 15 ½” seat. Easy once you know the formula. The area measured is between the pommel and cantle at the lowest point and the point closest to each other, where the thigh would sit. Look up 'Sport Saddle dot com', go to 'Important FAQs', under 'Saddle How To's' heading, 3rd line down 'How to measure the size of a Sport Saddle seat' for a picture of where exactly to measure.
