More ATV scams : eBay Guides

UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know if these types of scams go on everywhere or what  . But right now I can tell you there are at least two active scams in the polaris ATV listings as we speak. There has to be a way to shut these assholes down. Sorry if I sound bitter but I just lost 4200.00 to this exact same thing. You find an ad with a fairly new quad with next to no miles for a fraction of the market value. You will then be told the shipping is free and all they need is an address to send it to. You will then get a tracking number which turns out not to do a whole lot because the shipping website is a fraud set up to make you believe that the quad is on its way to you. When you check the progress of the shipment it will show you its half way to you. Now this is when the seller phones you from a blocked number wondering if you could send him the money as the quad is on its way and it only would seem fair that since you can track the shipment and all is in order that he should receive payment. He will get you to send it with moneygram or another wire transfer service. DO NOT PROCEED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Once you send the money you will never make contact with him again. You can't get him by email The trucking website stops being updated and is eventually terminated and you have a cell number that has a full voicemail that will never be answered again. I can only hope that you get to read this before you make a big mistake. As I look back there were so many red flags but I turned a blind eye because  i getting a great deal and i didn't think these criminals could go to such great lengths. Please if you read this pass it on to anyone you know that is in the market for a new ATV and is shopping on E-bay or in your local newspaper as that is what happened in my case.
