I doubt anyone at ebay will ever let you see this story that I call the Ebay Shuffle. I was bidding on a motorbike listed as being in Toronto Canada. When I won the auction for $7600, I offered to pick up the Honda in Toronto and give him a certified cheque in full payment. Then the shuffle begins. Turns out he decided he was not in Toronto but London, England. Fine. The bike is in Toronto though at his brother in law's place. Fine. Now you send me a Western Union Money Order for US$4000, I will tell my b-in-law to package and ship the bike to you. You pay the remainder once you see the bike and are happy with it. I repeat my offer to pick up the bike in toronto or to have it sent COD if he preferred. No, we couldnt do that. The name and address of the b-in-law in toronto were fictitious and upon close examination of the pics it was obvious the bike was in the US somewhere. The shufle continues, I got so i could spot this clown's motorcycle auctions regularly. 38 times I spotted this same fraud artist offering fictitious bikes on ebay over a period of less than 3 months. Finally I asked ebay why they kept giving a new ebay id to this same fraud artist every sigle day so he could perpretate yet another fraud. They informed that a person could have as many ebay ids as they wanted. This makes the whole idea of attaching negative feedback to this clown totally useless as he used a new ebay id for every single scam. When i suggested to ebay that a little diligence might weed out these scammers, they responded that since my ebay id had been involved in a fraudulent transaction ( yeah with me as the mark!) that they were cancelling my ebay ID!!! So the ebay Shuffle goes on today. They will aid and abet fraud artists but cancel anyone who dares to complain. So Buyer Beware is always the watchword especially on Ebay.
