With the Thousands of Original Artwork and Paintings Online,  it can be confusing for New eBay users to Purchase an Original Work of Art.

The First and Most Important thing to remember is,  You have to Like the Work of Art.  Any work of Art that you don't like is a waste of money, regardless of how much it is worth.

There's nothing wrong with buying a Painting strictly as an Investment.  The reality however, is that most paintings will probably not fetch much more than what you originally paid.  In some cases,  you'll be getting much less if you were to try and sell it.  If a painting will be worth something,  you'll most likely not be around to reap the rewards.

Before you spend hundreds of dollars on a painting, first look at the quality.  What brand of paint is used ?  Is it painted on a Canvas or Linen ?  Linen is of better Quality but much more expensive.  The majority of paintings are done on Canvas.

Don't be afraid to ask the Artist about what materials were used in creating the Art.  After all, it's your money you are investing.

For brands of paint,  Tri-Art and Golden brand paints make the finest Quality paints available anywhere.

Don't be fooled by the Price of the Painting.  This is not an indication that the Artist has used Quality materials in the Artwork.

The Price of the Painting is Not a Guarantee that you will get the same Value in Return.  Some people have paid Hundreds of Dollars for a single Art Piece only to find that they could not sell it for the same price.

If you are buying Directly from the Artist and you are receiving a Certificate of Authenticity, then you can be sure that your Art Investment is a good decision.

Keep in mind though, many eBay Users have bought Paintings worth Hundreds of Dollars only to realize that they can't Sell it for what it cost them.  Even after buying direct from the artist and with a COA.

Buy a Painting because you like the way it Looks and the way it makes you Feel.  That way, regardless of what you Paid, you will always be satisfied with your purchase.
