This is a guide to painting toy soldiers offering some quick tips gained from over ten years experience of painting figures myself. Whilst mainly focussing on 1/72 and 1/32 scale plastic figures much of this information will also be relevant for metal figures too. I am not an artist or the world's best figure painter by any means but I can turn out figures to a pretty good standard and I though my experience may be of interest to fellow hobbyists.....

I originally published this article on eBay.co.uk and thought eBay.ca members may also be interested. I started copying it out (as you cannot just cut and paste) but then I thought why not just put a link in!

To date I have written over 30 eBay guides on painting toy soldiers, collecting toy soldiers and wargaming. These are all posted on eBay.co.uk and can be accessed by clicking this link: flagbearer101 hobby guides list

My interest in toy soldiers is both personal and professional. I like to paint, collect and wargame as hobbies and I also run what is currently the largest toy soldier store on eBay.co.uk. This store is Drum & Flag. International eBay members are most welcome and Canadian visitors make up a significant proportion of my overseas customers.

Thank you for viewing this page.
