So you're looking to sell on Ebay and you're wondering, "What can I sell?  I hear of all these success stories, but how do I find out what I can be successful at?".

The answer - research.  Ebay is as easy as any search engine to research for information.  Here are two easy ways to get started:

1.  Find a type of item(s) that interests you or at the very least, one that you know you can obtain in your local market.  Then, simply research 'Completed Listings' to see what prices can be realized.  If you can make more on Ebay than they will cost you to obtain, then you're off and running.  Simple, isn't it?

The great thing abouit Ebay, is the ease in which you can determine what the products the marketplace demands and what prices will be paid for these items.

2.  You already have easy access to products.  For example, you are interested in collectibles and often attend auction sales and garage sales.  But what to buy?

I have been selling for about 6 years on Ebay and researching products can be quite cumbersome - where to begin?

I started selling some items I already had.  Once bids started coming in, I started looking at the products that these bidders had bought in the past (go to their feedback and click on the item numbers of past sales/purchases).

This is a great way to research 'other' products that you may be able to obtain, but never knew they could bring so much money.  And since these bidders are bidding on your item, other items may be similar and easy for you to obtain.

Searchin Ebay blindly is like looking for a needle in a haystack, however if you view items others have purchsed/sold, you can narrow down your focus.

I use this method to 'learn' about 10 new products every week that I can be looking for.  Often these items are those that I would never have bought in the past, but can now be sold for hundreds of dollars!

Good luck!
