Ok, here it goes. I recently sold a xbox original to a buyer from canada. I tested the item thouroughly to make sure it was in excellent condition. It was also mine to begin with and i had no problems with it at all. So when i shipped the item and the buyer finally recieved it, he said that it was broken!

I was amazed that this could have happened. Maybe the post office dropped it or something. But i also remmember packing it in extreme care to prevent this from happening. Also the buyer did not purchase insurance so i SHOULD NOT be held reliable for this. But he opened a case with paypal because i said NO REFUNDS...

BUT WAIT, thats not it. Then during the dispute process, i said fine ship it back to me. So a couple MONTHS LATER, i finally recieved the item and indeed it was broken. He said the system had a hard drive failure when i asked him what exactly happened. A HARD DRIVE FAILURE DUE TO SHIPPING? I have never heard anything like that. Thats when i kind off got suspicious.

Then i decided to look carefully at the xbox. I looked in the back. The stickers were all there so he did not open it. Then i found out that it WASNT EVEN MY XBOX, because i remmember mine had a white scratch on this one spot on the bottom. And this one did not have it. Although they looked almost the same. I filed a complaint on ebay right away stating that the item i recieved was not the same, nor worked at all.

I told paypal exactly what happened and that i should at least get some of my money back for the item since he shipped me a completely wrong item. But no, they REFUNDED HIM ALL THE MONEY, including shipping costs. And even to top to that, the buyer left me negative feedback stating i didint refund his money, even though i did through paypal.

So to future sellers of xbox's, and especially the new 360, make sure to write down the serial number of the hard drive and the system. So if you ever do get a problem with someone and he ships the item, back you know for a FACT it is not the same item. Also make sure to continue your case with paypal and never give up. They are known for closing accounts and losing MANY SELLERS, lots of money and stress....
