Shipping Fees : eBay Guides

I recently purchased a very small leather diary. I live in Canada and the seller lives in the US. My fault for not paying more attention but shipping charges for this 99 cent purchase was $15.56!!! When I received the item, the amount of money on the USPS sticker was $4.66. Realizing that this was partly my fault for not paying closer attention, I jokingly emailed the seller and asked if envelopes in Wisconsin were hard to find and thus, very expensive. No response.

So WARNING: always check shipping costs before you bid! I had another seller tell me that he deliberately added about $6.00 to the actual shipping cost because he starts his DVD sales at $.01. What's up with that? Did I force him to start there?

Let's take a stand against ridiculous shipping costs. If we stop buying from them and we report them to ebay, they will stop... GUARANTEED!!!
