This is one car that has tetsted many slot car tuners. Its power to weight ratio is such that operating it at 12 volts is too much. Almost any power increase results in tire spin. Even the finest electronic controllers can be challenged. I keep wanting to add weight, but WHERE? Pardon the yelling!

Even after placing bits and pieces of lead in every nook and cranny, its still not enough. It struck me when one of the radiators broke off in a collision with the catch fencing. I could just make a mold and cast a new one from resin...not! Lead of course. At 80 grams, this baby flys now!

The weight I added has been highlighted with arrows and blue paint. There are a few pieces carefully placed under the axle. Check that they don't interfere with the crown and pinion gears. The piece behind the driver is important too. It balances handling at corner entry and exit.

You will find the radiators in my store in the Fly catagory as well as heat resistant silicone molds to make your own lead weights using old wheel balance weights. Once the tires are trued you are ready to have fun...cheers...pgg
