I have come across a few of these kinds of listings.  Have you ever clicked on an item and it directs you to a sign in page?  If you have ever encountered this please make sure you ensure that your "eBay tool bar with Account Guard" is showing as green when you sign in again for these auctions.  If you do not have the Account Guard, which is only available with Window Explorer, you will want to make sure that the sign in page that you are about to enter your user ID and password on starts with "https" at the beginning of the web address.  If the sign in page does not have this, you are giving your information away to a third party!  Often these auctions will grab your attention by being "too good to be true" pricing, or it may be an auction that is offensive and in the wrong catagory and you want to report it.

For the safety of your eBay account please ensure that any sign in page (not just regular listing pages etc.) start with "https".

I hope this helps anyone else that has ever encountered this.
