Though Winter’s chill is creeping upon us, the craze for the iPhone is still
heating up. And as the holiday season slowly nears, the iPhone is sure to be at
the top of many wish lists. Featuring a chic and flashy design, the iPhone has
single handedly revolutionized cell phone use around the world leaving many
scrambling to get their hands on one. However, for many of us including myself,
the prospect of owning an iPhone is a distant dream because it’s expensive and
unaffordable.
Thank goodness for the CECT P168C, dubbed the “iPhone clone”, a phone that will surely be mistaken for the iPhone at first glance. It features the same rectangular design, 3.5-inch touch screen interface and background as the iPhone but runs for only 1/4th of the price at about $150. What’s even more impressive is that the P168C is packed with virtually all the features that can be found on the iPhone and many, many more.
The P168C is a tri-band cell phone that runs on a GSM network. Unlike the iPhone, it comes unlocked right out of the box allowing it to work on almost any GSM network anywhere in the world. It also supports dual active SIM cards. This allows its user the unique opportunity to place 2 SIM cards into the phone from any GSM carrier while having both operational at the same time. For example, one could use a SIM card from both Rogers and Fido, or AT&T and T-Mobile and receive calls from either SIM card simultaneously. This allows you to have 2 different phone numbers on one phone and eliminates the need to carry around 2 separate phones for home and business use. It also allows for greater flexibility than the iPhone which limits its users to specific GSM carriers.
The P168C also comes loaded with many other features including a 2 megapixel camera, video camera, Bluetooth capability, Mp3/MP4 players and even replicates the iPhone with a slide-to-unlock feature. A lot of complaints have been made regarding the iPhone’s poor sound quality and the P168C was sure to capitalize on this boasting 6 internal speakers for superior (and loud) sound quality. It also features a removal battery.
All in all, The CECT P168C is an extremely practical alternative to the more expensive iPhone. It’s got all the features a cell phone user could hope for and can do almost anything the iPhone can at about 1/4th of the price. I would highly recommend this phone for anyone looking for a chic and flashy phone at a much lower price than the iPhone.
