I bought a $200 car amplifier, shipping was aprox $35-$40, so I thought, it was shipped by the seller with UPS from the US to Canada.  Not only did the amp arrive a day later than quoted but there was $80, yes $80 in brokerage fees from UPS.  Another item I purchased came to a total of $75 with shipping, again UPS slaps on there brokerage fee of $41, I have one more item coming via UPS and I have not found out the brokerage fee yet but I assume it will be around $50-$60.  This is the last time I will ever purchase anything from buyers that ship with UPS.  I do not fault the sellers for this but it does not save me any money, in fact it ends up costing more then if I was to purchase the items in retail stores here, which ultimately defeats the purpose of ebay.  I strongly plead and urge sellers on ebay to please stop using UPS.  And I also warn anyone making purchases that will be shipped via UPS to NOT make the purchase or try find the same product from a seller who does not use UPS.  UPS are crooks and and there service is sub-par, in fact I recently had an item shipped within Canada and although there was no brokerage fees, the driver lied about attempting to deliver the package and rescheduled it for the following day, not only was I home waiting but I actually saw him just drive by and not even stop.  Again please whether your a buyer or a seller stop using or avoid UPS.
