( Hi Folks, I am a new member to eBay.(since May 10, 2006) I am intrested in old and unsual gold and silver coins. I have a back ground in the serface processing of metals. So I know a little bit on the subject to metal plating.
I have been looking over the coins advertizied on the eBay for the passed four days. Over that period I have spotrd alot of "BAD COINS" (fake) both gold and silver.
If I could just make a sugestion for the unwary buyer before you bid on and purchase any more coins. Pick up a copy of the Field Guide to Rocks and Minirals of North America and study the secetion on metals. Doing so will give you greater insight into the types of metal that your viewing.
